Reach Out occurs at Flat Rock YMCA Camp in St. Paul, IN It was on October 15th and 16th Students participated in many hands-on outdoor field courses: Reptiles and AmphibiansFishingCanoeingAlpine Tower (Climbing Tower)The Beast (Team Building Activity)ArcheryPond & River EcologyArcheology They also enjoyed: A campfire, capture the flag, gaga, and more!!!

  On Tuesday, October 27 Northview participated in the nation-wide Mix It Up at Lunch campaign as a part of our school anti-bullying plan. Students enjoyed activities during lunch that helped them to connect with new friends.

Mrs. Gans 7th grade reading students were briefed by Officer Robinson on the recent “outbreak” that may affect the citizens of the United States. Their job is to create a preparedness plan to protect our communities from a viral “zombie-like” epidemic. Good luck agents!

8th Graders Interview Burmese Immigrant

  Eighth grade students in Mrs. Stevenson’s class interviewed Miss Eh May from NV about her time spent in a refugee camp. After reading the Indy Star article on Burmese and English Language Learners, they were overwhelmed and humbled by the reality that these Burmese immigrants have faced.

8th Grade Sickle Cell Initiative

Mrs. Stevenson’s 8th grade science students completed their community action today by presenting Mrs. Coleman, from the Martin Center, with a check to support the Sickle Cell Initiative. Payton Love and Marlon Cawthon surprised Mrs. Coleman with the donation before she began her presentation about Sickle Cell.
