Northview Middle School

Northview Middle School Academic Pursuit is a fast-paced, team-based competition that challenges students’ knowledge across a wide range of subjects, including literature, history, science, math, and current events. Students compete by answering questions in a quiz bowl-style format, working together to think quickly, communicate effectively, and apply what they’ve learned in the classroom.

Team members build confidence, sharpen critical thinking skills, and expand their knowledge while representing Northview in competitions against other schools. Academic Pursuit is a great opportunity for curious, motivated students who enjoy learning, teamwork, and a little friendly competition!

After-School Tutoring is open to any student after school on Mondays and Wednesdays, but students MUST have a pass from one of their Teachers and specific assignments to work on.

Artistically Talented is a district-wide extracurricular art program offered at each elementary, middle, and high school for students who demonstrate a strong interest in visual art. Participation is application-based and gives students the opportunity to explore their creativity beyond the regular art classroom through unique projects, new materials, and collaborative experiences. Throughout the year, students participate in special art opportunities such as field trips to local museums, artist studios, and other art-related events in the community. The program culminates in a district-wide art show celebrating the work of Artistically Talented students from each school.

Her Falcon Squad empowers middle school girls to embrace their strengths, build confidence, and become leaders in their school and community. Through skill-building workshops, mentorship, and special events, we create a safe, supportive space where girls can dream big, stand tall, and soar.

The Northview Middle School Spell Bowl Team is an academic competition group where students strengthen their spelling, vocabulary, and word analysis skills in a fun and challenging environment. Team members study a list of words provided by the Indiana Academic Spell Bowl and compete against other schools in a fast-paced, team-based event.

Students work together to learn spelling patterns, word origins, and strategies that improve both their academic performance and confidence. Spell Bowl is a great opportunity for students who enjoy language, friendly competition, and being part of a collaborative team. No matter their starting level, students grow their skills while representing Northview with pride!

Northview’s Student Ambassador Program is a leadership opportunity for students in grades 6–8 who are committed to helping make our school a welcoming and inclusive place for all students. Ambassadors support new students, give building tours, and assist with events such as Back to School Night and 5th grade visits. Students are selected through an application process each September and serve as positive role models who help create a strong and supportive school community.
